Liberal Democrats Lead the City Council

Cllr Sam Charleston was elected to lead Salisbury City Council after a vote at the first Full Council meeting, since the election on 1st May.
Mirroring the Wiltshire Council results, the Liberal Democrat group won more seats than any other party on the City Council and will, with cooperation from other councillors, form the administration of the Council.
I am honoured to have been voted for by my colleagues and intend to work collaboratively across party lines for the good of all residents. Liberal Democrats will be focusing on the continual righting of the council finances, aiming for a closer working relationship with Wiltshire Council, and ensuring a best value service for City residents.
