St Edmunds Victory Solidifies Lib Dem Support in Salisbury
The win means Cllr Milos joins the Liberal Democrat team on Salisbury City Council, becoming their 11th Lib Dem Councillor. Her election strengthens the party's mandate to deliver for local residents.
Cllr Milos joins two Lib Dem colleagues in Salisbury St Edmunds, Cllr Paul Sample, who also represents the ward at Wiltshire Council, and Cllr Sam Foster who has represented the ward since May.
"I am absolutely thrilled and deeply honoured by the trust the residents of St Edmunds have placed in me," said Councillor Milos. "Having lived in Salisbury for over a decade, I am inspired to give back to this kind and vibrant community. I look forward to working alongside my ten hard-working colleagues to tackle the issues that matter most, from improving and enhancing vital public services, including our city's public toilets, to championing a greener Salisbury."
The Salisbury Liberal Democrat Group is committed to offering the best for Salisbury, focusing on local priorities such as enhancing the city centre, fighting for better local services, and ensuring responsible spending of taxpayer money.
Group Leader Cllr Sam Charleston commented: "Valentina is a fantastic addition to our team. Her experience and dedication will be invaluable. This result confirms that residents want a local council focused on getting the basics right and delivering improvements to the public services residents rely on. With 11 councillors, we are in an even stronger position to work tirelessly for a brighter future for all of Salisbury."
The Liberal Democrat team is now focused on hitting the ground running to implement their community-focused plan for St Edmunds and the wider city.
